Paris

Biography

Thibault Mercier a rejoint Macfarlanes LLP en septembre 2023 après avoir exercé près de 10 ans dans plusieurs cabinets internationaux de la place parisienne.

A lawyer at the Paris Bar since 2014, he specializes in corporate law and advises companies, entrepreneurs, and managers at all stages of their company's life, from incorporation to transfer or liquidation, including development, financing, structuring, and restructuring.

Working in both French and English, he handles all so-called "corporate" matters: mergers and acquisitions, capital operations, transfer and fundraising (private equity, bond issues, bank loans).

His practice also relies on solid academic foundations, as he has also been teaching corporate law (as well as rhetoric) at the Institut Catholique de Paris for several years.

He holds a master's degree in international business law from Paris Descartes University and a bachelor's degree in foreign languages from the University of Nantes.
